Wrestling Gimmicks And Tools That Help Entertain The Crowd
Wrestlers all over the world think up different gimmicks, and use different props to be more entertaining to the crowd. They call wrestling ‘sports entertainment’ because it is staged to please the audience. The following article will talk about some of the different gimmicks and props wrestlers commonly use.
One wrestling gimmick revolves around the wrestler bringing a guitar to the ring with him. Of course he is not allowed to use the guitar as a weapon, but he does when the referee is not looking. All the wrestler has to do is find an electric guitar for sale and he is all set! His gimmick is complete!
Next, wrestlers have been known to use gimmicks that involve helmets. Some of the wrestlers use gimmicks that entail riding motorcycles to the ring wearing a helmet. Others just wear a helmet so that they can throw it to the fans before starting their match. Once I saw a wrestler with a black helmet gimmick where he would head butt his opponent while wearing the helmet. A blood capsule was taped to the top of the helmet and exploded upon impact.
Face paint is another popular part of many wresting gimmicks. Make up and face paint tend to drive the crowd crazy! A lot of different wrestling fans will try to paint their faces just like those of their favorite wrestlers. Nothing brings a wrestler more joy than to know his fans would do this. Imitation is the one of the best forms of flattery.
Wearing full face masks is one of the most popular gimmicks in professional wrestling entertainment. There are so many different story lines can evolve around wearing a mask. Say that a wrestler is forced to leave the company due to a ‘loser leave town’ match. He can come back masked! In addition, several Mexican wrestlers wear masks because it is an honor.
Lastly, many wrestlers where underwear type bottoms as a part of their gimmicks. When this is the case, men waxing products are used as a tool to remove unwanted body hair. Unless their body hair is a part of their gimmick, hair removal products are often used regularly by wrestlers. Baby oils is often used, as well, to give their skin a shiny look.
Props and gimmicks are a part of wrestling that is very necessary. It is very important to please the fans. If the fans walk away from a show disappointed, they are not likely to attend another. The gimmicks and props discussed above are only a drop in a big bucket. The possibilities are endless.
